Membership Information
When we speak to the School Board, we are over 300 strong. When we speak to the Virginia General Assembly, we are over 50,000 strong and when we speak to Congress, we are over 3 million strong.
The power of our voice comes from our numbers, so we need you.
Who Are We?
"Joining CCEA is the right thing to do!" says Ludwell Brown, who teaches civics at Culpeper Middle School. All employees of Culpeper County Public Schools are eligible to join CCEA. Our members include teachers, counselors, administrators and other professionals (classified employees) as members. More than 300 staff are members.
Our common goals are to provide excellent educational services to the children of Culpeper County and to earn a decent living while doing so.
Members of the CCEA are automatically members of the Virginia Education Association (VEA) and National Education Association (NEA).
Our organization is democratic. All levels of our leadership are elected, from the Association Representatives in the schools up through President of the NEA. Our members decide what we stand for.
Through our Association we work together to improve public education in Culpeper County, the commonwealth, and the nation.
We all work for Culpeper County Public Schools. We are your colleagues.
Membership is Affordable and pre-tax!
2022/2023 DUES:
Full-time licensed Professionals: $49/month
Part-time Professionals: $25/month
Full-time Educational Support Professionals (Classified Employees): $25/month
Part-time ESP - $15/month
Substitute - $150 one-time payment (credit card or check only)
